How does the collaboration between IB and Pearson work?

Pearson BTEC qualifications are recognised in more than 70 countries worldwide. 

Our main goal is to help support economic growth and develop infrastructure through the provision of high-quality, career-focused qualifications.

Pearson BTEC qualifications are developed and validated in partnership with educators, employers and governments to ensure the content reflects the needs of a job market. 

Our qualifications combine academic knowledge and practical application, which allows learners to progress to higher education or go straight into employment.

Pearson collaborates with the IB to ensure that the Career-related Programme (CP) combined with BTEC Level 3 qualifications provide ultimate service and resource to IB schools.

The CP/ BTEC Career Package collaboration is available to schools all around the globe. Pearson BTEC courses have been approved for use in  the career-related study component of the CP; and Career Packages have been developed in collaboration with the IB to ensure IBCP learners have everything they need.*
