About Ron Cruz

Ron Cruz is the Supervisor of Career Technical and Adult Education Operations at Hillsborough County Public Schools in Tampa, Florida. Prio to that he has served for 10 years as the Coordinator of CARIBE, a program responsible for training and supporting adult refugees in the Tampa Bay Region.
 
His education, over 20 years of classroom experience teaching high school mathematics, peer evaluation expertise and leadership experience, has led to his recruitment by the Florida Department of Education, Division of Career Technical and Adult Education as a subject matter expert (SME) in Adult Basic and Adult Secondary (GED®) Mathematics, Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) and Integrated Education and Training (IET).
 
He is currently serving as a statewide workshop developer, consultant, and trainer for Pearson Education, Florida IPDAE, ACE of Florida and as a national trainer for GED® Testing Service. In addition, he has worked with multiple states’ department of education such as Delaware, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Georgia to support adult education achievement through high-quality professional development.
