Carina Jansen – Secondary Science Teacher, Vic & Contributing Author

With previous roles as the Head of Science and Secretary of the Biology Teachers Network Victoria, Carina's teaching experience and leadership has lead her to also be a contributing author for Heinemann Biology 6th Edition and more recently, the new Pearson Science 3rd Edition series and Pearson Science Victoria series', also supporting the leading digital component, Pearson Digital Hub Science.

Emma Finlayson – Head Teacher, Science in New South Wales

Emma currently teaches Science, Chemistry and Biology and over her career, she has taught at a range of high schools, including comprehensive, selective, single-sex and co-educational. She has a special interest in EAL/D education in Science and is an experienced teacher of HPGE students. She has contributed to the creation of a range of Pearson resources for the Stage 6 syllabus, as well as Stages 4 and 5.

Geoff Quinton – Science Consultant and Former ASTA President

Geoff is the series consultant and lead author for Pearson Digital Hub Science. He has previously coordinated the writing of Australian Curriculum: Science for ACARA and has held the role of president of the Australian Science Teachers Association of Australia (ASTA). He is currently the president of Science Teachers Association Western Australia (STAWA) and is convenor for the national CONASTA conference in Perth in 2025.

Greg Moran – Author and Curriculum Leader, Western Australia

A highly experienced Head Of Learning with a demonstrated history of working in Independent and Catholic Schools. Experienced Deputy Principal - Teaching and Learning, and Skilled in Science Education, Physics, Chemistry, E-Learning, and Secondary Education. Coordinating Author of Physics textbooks for 11 and 12, as well as the award-winning Lightbook Physics series for 11 and 12 in both WA and Victoria.

Kai Nunn – Science Content Learning Specialist at Pearson

Over a 12-year career as a Humanities teacher and learning area leader, Kai deepened her knowledge through study in student agency, neuroscience, and educational psychology—with particular focus on middle years learners, and now brings this expertise to Pearson's Science resources.

Matthew Crank – Executive Director, STAQ

Matthew Crank is a secondary teacher with a particular interest in science education. Currently as an Executive Director for the Science Teachers Association of Queensland and the Director of the Queensland Science Contest. Matthew has contributed to curriculum and assessment as part of the ATAR and OP systems as a QCAA assessor.
