Welcome back. I'm so glad you're here. We have got a six sided cube that we're going to be rolling. So let's envision that cube. This is. We have to really envision it because it's not going to be perfectly cubic here. So we've got like a 123 on the side. Can be four on the bottom. Can be five and on the back can be six. There's a six sided cube. We're going to roll it and we want to find the probability of getting a number greater than three. So which numbers are greater than three? Could be a four Could be a five. Could be a six. Alright, so setting this up to find the probability we recall from previous lessons that the probability of an event occurring is the number of outcomes in an event divided by the number of outcomes in a sample space. What does that mean? The number of outcomes in our event, that's how many there are that are greater than three are event greater than three and there's outcomes that are greater than three. Now divided by the number of outcomes in our whole sample space. This six sided cube has outcomes in that whole sample space. So we take this three divided by six. We can reduce that and that reduces to one half. That's our probability of getting a number greater than three.
