We recall from previous lessons that to write a fraction as its percentage equivalent. We're going to multiply by and now we can rewrite that 100% as a fraction. We can rewrite that as 100 over 1%. And now we can multiply straight across the numerator is and the denominators for our two fractions two times 100 is 200 and three times one is three. Bring down the percent. So we have 200 divided by 3% while 200 divided by three is 66 then it will have two left over. So 66 2 3rd percent. How do we write that? Two thirds as a decimal point? Because all of our answers are decimals. Well we recall from previous lessons that two thirds is the same as two divided by 33 doesn't go into two but if we put a decimal point and then add a zero hey well three does go into 20. So we can bring this decimal up here. Three goes into 26 times six times three is 18. 20 minus 18. Well that is 23 doesn't go into two again. So we can add a zero at the end. Bring that down, three goes into 20 Again six times six times threes again 18. This is going to go on the same way for absolutely forever. So how do we say that that six is going to repeat itself forever? Well, we write 60.6 with a line over it so we can rewrite our 66 2 3rd as 66.6 with a line over it percent to say 66.6% or 66.6 repeating percent.
