And in this case we're trying to solve for the value of X. So we want to try to isolate X on one side of the equation And we can start doing that by divided by six. And if we do that I have x squared is equal to 25. So you can see now that I have X on my left hand side but it needs to be X by itself and not X squared. So I can take the square root that leaves me with X is equal to square root of 25. So recall that the square root of 25 is equal to five Because five times five is equal to 25. But the square root can also be negative five because negative five times negative five is also equal to positive 25. So X is equal to positive or negative five and if I write those out, I have X is equal to five or negative five. So this becomes my final answer for X.
