Overview

Fully aligned to the new Stage 6 Senior Science Syllabuses, the write-in skills and assessment activity books focus on working scientifically skills and assessment. They’re designed to consolidate concepts learnt in class and provide learners with regular opportunities for reflection and self-evaluation.

The skills and assessment activity books are intended to be used independently from the student books and include:

  • a student toolkit
  • key knowledge coverage
  • worksheets and practical activities
  • module review questions
  • activities that include practical investigations, secondary sourced investigations, presentations, and research assignments.

At least one depth study is also included per module. Depth studies meet the minimum of 15 hours allocated per year level and assess:

  • the working scientifically outcomes of ‘Questioning and Predicting’ and ‘Communicating’
  • two working scientifically skills outcomes
  • at least one knowledge and understanding outcome.
