Retention refers to the completion of students’ educational goals from enrollment through graduation. Upon entering college, students remain, re-enroll, and continue on to graduation.
Engagement refers to the degree of attention, curiosity, collaboration, and passion that is displayed when learning.
Engaging students involves an innovative use of technology and data and insights, and a collaborative, instructional approach that will help keep them motivated through graduation.
