Pearson appoints Melinda Wolfe as Chief Human Resources Officer

Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, today announces the appointment of Melinda Wolfe as Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the Pearson Executive team.

Melinda joins from Bloomberg LP where she has led since 2008 the full range of the company’s human resources activities. She has previously held leadership roles across HR, talent development and diversity for American Express, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse.  She began her career at Merrill Lynch, leading fixed income transactions for public and private sector clients, and holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

John Fallon, chief executive, said:

“Our people and talent agenda is a critical component of our strategy to be a single, globally-connected education company that is focused around delivering learning outcomes. Melinda is a highly experienced and talented HR professional who will lead the function with distinction and make a valuable contribution to our leadership team. “

Earlier this year, Pearson announced that its current director for people, Robin Baliszewski, had been appointed Managing Director, Higher Education in North America.
