New Doctor of Education Joins Bradley’s Online Counseling, Nursing Programs Designed for Working Students
PEORIA, ILLINOIS – Today, Pearson and Bradley University announced the expansion of their online degree partnership with the launch of a Doctor of Education. The degree program will have two tracks, one in pre K-12 educational leadership and one in higher education administration. Both tracks are designed for working students, and include action research courses that allow students to apply skills learned immediately within their organizations.
This new doctorate will launch in the fall of 2019 and expands a partnership that currently includes a master of arts in counseling and a variety of graduate nursing degrees, a certificate and a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
“Pearson’s partnership with Bradley University has already helped thousands of students further their careers without having to put life on hold,” said Iwan Streichenberger, president of Pearson Online Learning Services. “These offerings will build on Bradley’s existing online programs to give even more students the tools they need to take the next step in the vitally important field of education.”
“We expect strong market demand for our Doctor of Education post masters, 48 semester hour program,” said Dr. Joan Sattler, dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences at Bradley University. “This program of excellence will add to Bradley University’s growing suite of graduate offerings providing choice for adult learners who wish to become a school superintendent or administrative leader in higher education.”
Pearson provides comprehensive online program management (OPM) services and partners with more than 40 higher education institutions across the country and around the globe to implement and sustain over 300 undergraduate and graduate programs, which have produced more than 80,000 graduates.
