Margaret (Peggy) Moore has been a member of the mathematics faculty at the University of Southern Maine since 2004. She is passionate about teaching and her top priority is helping her students achieve academic success. She’s committed to active learning and incorporating metacognitive strategies in all of her classes, resulting in numerous cases where students have experienced a paradigm shift in their relationship with mathematics.
Moore has been involved with general education and curricular reform over the last decade and has presented at numerous state and national conferences about her innovative teaching strategies. She's happiest surrounded by her husband, children, mom, and siblings and enjoys time spent outdoors in her snowshoes in winter and on her paddleboard in summer.
