So we can already rule out choices B and D. Because we know that pair one should be covalin. So we're choosing between choices A. And C. Now. So let's completely cross B. And so moving on to pair two. We have barium and sulfur. So beginning with barium based on its position in the periodic table being in group two a. We would consider it a medal. And when it comes to sulfur based on its position on the periodic table which we find in group six A. As well. It's also considered a non metal. And in this case when we have the pairing of a metal and a nonmetal, we want to recall that this means we have an ionic compound and that would be our label for barium and sulfur.
