Hello everyone today. We have the following problem which of the following characteristics correctly differentiates a ceramic from a metal. So starting off some characteristics of ceramics. So first ceramics have a very high melting point. Their melting point is actually very much higher than that of a metal. They're generally very stiff and they are more wear resistant as well as more corrosion resistant. So if you've ever heard the term wear and tear, ceramics are generally going to be More wear resistant. So they're going to Degrade a lot slower than metals and corrosion resistance. That is just due to the fact that they are already 100% corroded. So ceramics are already 100% corroded or 100% oxidized. So they're going to be generally more corrosion resistant than metals. And so if we go over to medals, metals generally melt at high temperatures and they also corrode do to oxidation. So their melting points are going to be lower than that of of ceramics and they're going to be more corrosion, they're going to be less corrosion resistance. And so that leaves us with the anti choice to being correct right, ceramics have higher melting points than metals as we already stated. And ceramics are more corrosion resistant than metals.
