VQ Bulletin - Issue 24
Welcome to the latest issue of the VQ Bulletin.
Welcome back to everyone who has started the new term this week. We know that you have questions about the awarding arrangements for this year and so in this week’s edition, we have included a short summary of the adaptations available for 2021/2022. We are also able to confirm our arrangements for the BTEC Firsts, Level 2 Technicals and BTEC Nationals, which will have streamlined assessment. You can find out more about this adaptation in our Streamlined Internal Assessment guidance.

We appreciate there are still outstanding questions and concerns regarding Z-flags and mid-flight learners. Currently, we are finalising the guidance which we plan to release in the next bulletin. In the meantime, we have created a new Teaching, Learning and assessment web page for Vocational and Technical qualifications in 2021/22. All updated guidance will be shared here so please do bookmark this page for future reference.

As always, you are welcome to contact us with any queries or concerns, and you can keep informed by following @teachBTEC, where we will update you with the latest information. We are currently updating our FAQs for this year’s arrangements and these will be available soon. In the meantime, you can still access our FAQ page for last year if you have any outstanding questions. Our social media is monitored from 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday and we welcome, and will respond to, any suggestions or feedback you have for us.
You can also review past bulletins on our website if you have missed any and sign up to receive future updates if you have not already done so.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support and collaboration.
Yours sincerely,
