The consultation considered the role of higher vocational education, importance of helping individuals to gain the fundamental skills required for work and life, and the implications of these and wider government changes on adult further education colleges.
The consultation was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government. It ran through to its conclusion but was not taken as a blueprint for the new government. This consultation was of particular relevance to Pearson as it addressed issues both for publishers and for awarding organisations.
