The 2016 VFX Festival was the biggest and best yet, celebrating the UK's VFX, games, animation, motion graphics and virtual reality industries in style.

The festival, created by Escape Studios and Pearson College London, took over Cineworld at O2 Greenwich, London, for three fun and fascinating days from 23 to 25 February.

A top lineup of big names and industry experts inspired VFX, games and animation newcomers (on day one), enthusiasts (on day two), and professionals (on day three).

With the UK leading the world in visual effects, the VFX Festival showed just how innovative and exciting these creative industries can be, with talks on the careers available, what the top studios are looking for, and what you need to do to get ahead in the industry.

Highlights included virtual reality great white sharks, a women in industry panel, and Wallace and Gromit creators Aardman. There were even presentations from some of the creative minds behind cinema blockbusters The Martian and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and hit video games Assassin’s Creed Chronicles and Alien: Isolation.

Want to know more? Pearson College London’s blogs from day one, day two and day three give a rundown of every day of the festival.
