Melanie Williams-Browne, Head of Tutoring, shares her view on the difference Pearson Tutoring is making to students across the country.
18th August, 2022, LONDON: Around 200,000 students receive their Level 3 BTEC results today (18th Aug), according to Pearson, the awarding body for the qualifications. Students were awarded grades ranging from a ‘Starred Distinction’ to a ‘Pass’. They will now progress into higher or further education, apprenticeships or full-time employment, often in key industries that suffer from drastic shortages of skilled, ambitious workers.
Online tutoring rose to prominence following the first Covid lockdown – and appears set to continue throughout the next academic year and beyond.
With the government’s White Paper, Opportunity for All: Strong schools with great teachers, outlining the key role of tutoring services in helping them reach their ambitious targets, and with an additional £349 million announced to support school-led tutoring in 2022/2023, it is clearly here to stay.
