About our authors

Kenneth Reid is Associate Dean and Director of Engineering at the University of Indianapolis. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering Education in 2009; the seventh in the nation. He is active in engineering within K-12, serving on the Technology Student Association Board of Directors. He and his coauthors were awarded the William Elgin Wickenden award for 2014, recognizing the best paper in the Journal of Engineering Education and the best paper award for the Educational Research and Methods (ERM) Division of ASEE in 2014. He was awarded an IEEE-USA Professional Achievement Award for designing the nation’s first B.S. degree in Engineering Education.

David Reeping is an Assistant Professor of Engineering Education at the University of Cincinnati. Before joining the University of Cincinnati, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Electrical and Computer Engineering with the Engineering Education Research Program at the University of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering Education from Virginia Tech and was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
