About our authors
Kirk Trigsted teaches Precalculus at the University of Idaho, with 2000 students each year in a combined classroom and laboratory setting. He has been Director of the Polya Mathematics Center at the University of Idaho since its inception in 2001. Kirk has served as a consultant and redesign scholar for various projects through the National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT). He is the lead author of an interactive, completely clickable series built from the ground up within MyLab Math. The series offers content spanning from Basic Math to Precalculus and Trigonometry.
Kevin Bodden is a professor of mathematics at Lewis & Clark Community College, where he has taught since 1999. He holds a master's degree in mathematics from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a master's degree in engineering from Purdue University. In 2009 he partnered with Kirk Trigsted on Kirk's interactive, completely clickable series built from the ground up within MyLab Math. He and co-author Randy Gallaher created the developmental math content in the programs, which offer material spanning from Basic Math to Precalculus and Trigonometry. Kevin is married with 3 children and is actively involved in their school and extracurricular activities. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, camping and geocaching.
Randy Gallaher is a professor of mathematics at Lewis & Clark Community College, where he has taught since 1997. He holds a master's degree in mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University. In 2009 he partnered with Kirk Trigsted on Kirk's interactive, completely clickable series built from the ground up within MyLab Math. He and co-author Kevin Bodden created the developmental math content in the programs, which offer material spanning from Basic Math to Precalculus and Trigonometry. Randy is married with 3 children and spends most evenings actively involved in their activities. In his limited free time, he loves to fish the small rivers and streams of southern Missouri.
