New report into education across England highlights a focus on staff, digital and diverse solutions to support growing concerns over pupil disengagement

LONDON – 27th June 2024 - At least 1.5 million children a week are struggling to engage in learning according to a new report released today by Pearson – the world’s leading learning company.

A series of newly released reports have revealed today [5^th December] that students in the UK score above the international average in mathematics, reading and science.

What is true? What is safe? What does it mean for society? Students will now be able to dive deep into key questions surrounding Generative AI in a significant move by Pearson – the world’s leading learning company.

New report into education across England highlights the power of digital to break barriers for students, as learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), anxiety and health issues sit exams online from home - using remote invigilation - for the first time in the country’s history.

Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, and Persona Education, the online personal development provider for schools and colleges, have entered into a new pilot project. Together, we’re creating a series of digital badge programmes aimed to support GCSE learners with the development of 22 social-emotional skills, or “life skills”. 

IDEO, The Royal Academy of Engineering, RSA, The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the Design Council, Future Foundations, NAEE, Students Organising for Sustainability (SOS-UK), Google, Lets Go Zero, Global Action Plan and the NSEAD are just some of the organisations having voiced support for Pearson’s plans to raise the status of design education in schools and reverse the downward trend in student uptake.
