Think Science. Think Differently.

Reducing and updating content

We're calling for change at GCSE to ensure the curriculum has a manageable amount of content, helping to free up time for more practical and investigative work and more depth and engagement. Updated content should help students to understand the ‘big ideas’ of science and what it means to be a scientist.

Ahead of reform, we want to support you wherever possible to manage the content load of science, as well as to help you introduce topics to the curriculum that engage and inspire your learners, such as climate change, space or genetic engineering.
