This webinar examines visualizations in the geosciences, from the first maps and cross-sections to block diagrams, outcrop photography do’s & dont’s, seismic imaging, tomography, LiDAR, 3D modeling, GigaPans, Google Earth, cartoons, ‘synoptic’ illustrations, graphing, and basic principles of elegant data presentation. Virtual field experiences from last summer’s travel in Europe (Siccar Point, Giant’s Causeway, etc.) will also be part of the story.
