About the speaker
Professor Deborah Hazzard
Dr. Deborah Hazzard serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Management at the Darla Moore School of Business at University of South Carolina.She earned a professional doctorate from Georgia State University, an executive master of business administration (MBA) from Winthrop University, and a bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University. Deborah has held significant leadership roles in the private and public sectors. In her current role, she utilizes her practical business experience to augment instruction pertaining to management principles, theory, protocols, and concepts. Her research centers on the impact of strategic relationships and emerging technologies in today’s dynamic global business environment. She has examined strategic interactions in an international business environment utilizing social network theory and social contract theory. Deborah has presented at national and international conferences, and serves as a management consultant. She fully embraces technology and actively seek ways to integrate technology into the learning environment.
