In 2011, she transferred to the Juvenile Justice Center where she taught incarcerated students and helped them successfully earn high school credits through the virtual school. In 2014, Wauwatosa Virtual Academy (WVA) went statewide and she started working on the implementation of the program. Today, Ms. Chmielewski is the program teacher at WVA. She meets with local students and monitors the progress of all students to make sure they’re staying on pace for completion.
