Accessibility
Ensuring all learners succeed
Our mission is simple: to help people realize the life they imagine through learning
We will only be successful when our educational materials are accessible to all users. We’re committed to providing access to students with disabilities. Our commitment is woven into the fabric of our learning materials, development processes, innovation efforts, employee culture, and partnerships.
Our commitment to accessible educational materials
We gratefully acknowledge and endorse the work of the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web consortium on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, as well as the work of the United States Access Board and the Information Technology Advisory Committee (TEITAC) on their Section 508 Refresh Drafts.
We strive to provide equal access for all students.
To achieve this goal, we build our courseware, learning tools, supplemental materials, and digital textbooks to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We review and update our products often to make sure they continue to meet the needs of students as technology changes.
Using our products with assistive technologies
Pearson courseware and learning materials are built to work with screen readers, keyboard-based navigation, and other assistive technologies. If you use these tools, you should be able to move through lessons, read content, and adjust settings like text size, captions, and switch reading modes with ease.
If something isn’t working the way you expect, we’re here to help.
Visit our support site for step-by-step guidance or email us at disability.support@pearson.com and our team will assist you.
Accessibility documentation for institutions
We provide accessibility documentation to help schools review our products with confidence. Our accessibility testing is completed by a third-party accessibility tester and includes people with disabilities to ensure that our products work for learners. These documents can be requested by emailing disability.support@pearson.com.
Learning Platforms
Completed Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) are available for our learning platforms.
eTexts
Accessibility Conformance, Compliance, and Remediation (ACC&R) documents are available for individual eTexts.
Alternate format text
If an accessible digital textbook does not meet a student’s needs, alternate text files for Pearson titles are available for qualified students upon request and at no added cost, provided the student has purchased or is renting the print or digital textbook.
Requests on behalf of students
Requests on behalf of post-secondary students with print-related disabilities should be placed via PubFile Nexus, a service that offers immediate fulfillment for the majority of requests.
To be eligible for a PubFile Nexus membership, you must be a higher ed employee who is responsible for providing accommodations for students with disabilities.
All other requests
All other requests can be placed using Pearson’s disability request form.
Please understand that it may take up to 10 business days for you to receive the electronic file.
Contact Accessibility Support

We review all messages as quickly as possible and will follow up with clear next steps. After you open a ticket, you can request a virtual meeting or a phone call if that works better for you.
