Developing Primary Subject Leadership
We’re thrilled to have partnered with Reach Academy Feltham to bring you a brand-new self-study course on primary curriculum design. This course is split into 7 different units which will each focus on one of the seven key questions a primary subject leader should be able to answer in order to foster excellence in their subject. As this course is on-demand you will be able to complete each unit at a time and place that suits you.
The seven key questions
How do pupils learn?
What is the purpose of curriculum?
How do you define and communicate the intended curriculum?
How can curriculum materials support with implementing agreed aims?
How should teachers enact the curriculum?
How should we assess different curriculum areas?
How can we support staff to develop their curriculum understanding and delivery?
This series of courses aims to build the knowledge and skills needed to create a more informed, resilient and compassionate culture in your workplace – addressing your individual experience and exploring the dynamics of your organisation, in order to promote mental health and wellbeing.
The courses below can also be bought individually for as a bundle.

This course is for any teacher who is completely new to Power Maths, and has access to the Power Maths resources in school.
We will look in detail at the purpose and approach of the different sections of the Power Maths lesson and how to teach them, and an overview of the Power Maths online resources.
It is assumed that attendees have some understanding of a mastery approach to maths. A prerequisite of the course is that attendees already have access to their school’s Power Maths online account and are able to log in.
There are two live 90 min webinars (attendees need to come along to both):
