Our blended reading scheme has helped almost 2 million children enjoy reading since it launched 10 years ago!

We have been capturing the imagination of hundreds and thousands of children and young people around the world for the past 10 years.

Join us over the coming months and celebrate Bug Club turning 10 with lots of activities to get involved with!

Easter Activity Pack

We’ve created a special #EggcellentEaster pack for your children to complete this month! This pack contains bookmarks, anagrams, wordsearches and recipes, as well as Easter stories and games. 

Why not take part in the Amaze-ing Egg Hunt and have a go at deciphering the Bunny Muddle? And we would love to see pictures of your Crunchy Chocolate Easter Nests from the recipe within this pack, using the hashtag #EggcellentEaster on @PearsonPrimary!

#ReadingResolutions campaign

Whilst 2021 may not have started out exactly how we had planned, it's never too late for you and your children to add some #ReadingResolutions for the year ahead, which is why, as part of our Bug Club 10 celebrations, we are helping you to set and achieve a range of reading targets for this year.  

Could you challenge your children to read one book for pleasure a month; gain confidence reading aloud to a family member once a week or even read a story via the internet or telephone to a loved one or neighbour that they can't see during lockdown? Why not ask them to identify their own #ReadingResolutions and set them some additional targets of your own? And remember, you can always take part yourself!

Get festive this December with Bug Club!

To get us into the festive spirit and bring joy to classrooms and homes across the country, we’ll be posting some festive activities for you to enjoy with your children throughout December.From baking cookies, colouring in to letter writing, poster creation and word searches, we want children to have fun with our free, downloadable materials.

November is #ReadingAtHome month!

To celebrate Bug Club turning 10, we wanted to kick things off with our #ReadingAtHome month.

With the nights getting darker earlier, we want to know what books your children have been reading and perhaps who their favourite authors are too.
