As history instructors, we all face similar problems in our classrooms: a room of students who think that history is nothing more than a list of names and dates to memorize. By effectively using images to teach, instructors can change this perception. This webinar will explore techniques for using visuals to set the stage; to avoid over-simplification when using images; to convey the importance of competing visions in U.S. history to better understand documents, and to underscore the importance of choices and consequences in determining history.
