In this session, Professor William McNally demonstrates how he organizes readings and homework for his introductory finance course using Corporate Finance Online on Pearson’s Revel platform. While Professor McNally uses a flipped classroom, he will share insights about using these learning resources that will be valuable with any course structure.
Professor William J. McNally
William J. McNally is Professor of Finance at Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Ontario). He has taught there since 1999, after teaching at the University of Victoria for seven years and earning his PhD in finance from the University of Toronto. His primary research interests include finance pedagogy, distributions, insider trading, and market microstructure. Professor McNally’s research has been published in journals including Management Science and Financial Management. He has received over $200,000 in research grants and two best paper awards. With Stanley Eakins, he co-authored Corporate Finance Online (Pearson Education), an online introductory finance textbook published in the US and Canada. He is co-founder and ongoing supervisor of the Laurier Student Investment Fund.
