Dr. Eric J. Simon
Eric J. Simon, PhD, is professor in the Department of Biology and Health Science at New England College (Henniker, NH). He teaches introductory biology to science and non-science majors, as well as an upper-level course in tropical marine biology with a field component in Belize. Dr. Simon received a BA in biology and computer science and an MA in biology from Wesleyan University and a PhD in biochemistry from Harvard University. His research focuses on innovative ways to use technology to improve teaching and learning in the science classroom, particularly for non-science majors. He is author of the introductory non-majors biology text Biology: The Core, 2nd Edition; lead author of Campbell Essential Biology, 6th Edition and Campbell Essential Biology with Physiology, 5th Edition by Simon/Dickey/Hogan/Reece; and co-author of the introductory biology text Campbell Biology: Concepts and Connections, 8th Edition by Taylor/Simon/Dickey/Hogan/Reece, all published by Pearson.
