Join Bernhard Klingenberg from Williams College for ideas and demonstrations for how to strategically use apps to cover concepts such as sample-to-sample variability, multivariate thinking and permutation testing.

Professor Bernhard Klingenberg, Williams College

In this session, we discuss how apps in Intro Stats are increasingly popular learning tools that help enhance the student learning experience. While apps showing the Central Limit Theorem are now standard, GAISE guidelines of including simulation and multivariate thinking in the curriculum necessitate the use of different types of apps. We offer suggestions and demonstrations for how to strategically use apps to cover concepts such as sample-to-sample variability, multivariate thinking and permutation testing.
