Barbara Callahan has been a nurse educator in both healthcare and academic settings. Her clinical background includes critical care and emergency care nursing. She has planned, developed, implemented, and maintained simulation learning activities and simulated clinical experiences for nursing students for over twelve years. Callahan advocates and champions a concept-based approach using technology and simulated learning activities in nursing education. She is a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator.
