Army Apprentice of the Year Awards
Pearson TQ has reason to celebrate following another hugely successful Army Apprenticeships 'Apprentice of the Year' Awards ceremony held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on 6th March.
Pearson TQ learners swept the board for awards at the intermediate level with Sapper Luke Hudson, a Royal Engineer Carpentry & Joinery Apprentice at 24 Engineer Regiment named as Army Apprentice of the Year and L/Cpl Charlie Phillips, an RLC Apprentice at 29 Regt RLC a hugely credible runner-up in this category.
Following this success, Sapper Dean Molnar, a Royal Engineer Communicator at 26 Engr Regt was then announced as runner-up in the Advanced Apprentice of the Year category.
The day started with a separate Royal Engineer awards ceremony where Luke and Dean were presented with their RE Apprentice of the Year awards in the presence of their family, service friends and their unit leadership before moving on to the main awards ceremony where they were to receive their wider Army Apprenticeship awards.
This is the second year in a row that a Pearson TQ Army Apprentice has won a category with Cpl Liam Molloy winning the Advanced Apprentice category last year.
All staff should be justifiably proud of these results as they are a reflection and recognition of the quality of the Apprenticeships that we are delivering in partnership with the Army.
In addition to the Apprentice of the Year awards, Major Dean Hammett, the RLC Designated Officer was runner-up in the Apprenticeship Champion category; Peter Capon (Royal Engineers) and Peter Ramsden (Royal Logistic Corps) were also recognised with special awards for their contribution to the development of Army Apprenticeships in their respective Corps.
