This week almost half a million of you will receive your 2021 BTEC results, including more than 230,000 of you who have completed your Level 3 BTEC qualifications and are moving on to the next stage of your lives.  Over the last ten years alone, more than 6 million people have completed a BTEC and BTEC alumni have gone on to form a vital part of the UK and global workforce. Included in the class of 2021 are many future healthcare professionals, engineers and construction workers who are so vital to the UK’s economy. 

BTECs are globally recognised and continue to be the most popular vocational qualification to support progress to university - 50% of those of you with a Level 3 BTEC qualification will continue into Higher Education while the remainder will move into employment, an apprenticeship or further study.  

I am delighted that you have all come through another extraordinary year with the qualifications, skills and experience to prepare you for the next stage of your journey - be it onto university, into an apprenticeship or into the world of work - setting you up to follow your aspirations and succeed in your future careers and life.
