Information for students, parents and carers about awarding qualifications in summer 2021
We're committed to helping every learner achieve their full potential. Our priority is to ensure that you are not disadvantaged, and that you can progress alongside those students taking General Qualifications (GCSEs and A levels) in 2021.
We appreciate that it’s been a very challenging and uncertain year for all students, parents and carers and that, with the cancellation of some exam series, you will be keen to know what to expect over the coming months.
Your college or school will have received the final guidance from us on how this year’s grades will be awarded at the end of March. On this page, we’ll provide information, support and guidance for students, parents and carers to help make the summer 2021 processes more transparent, and to help you understand what Ofqual and the Department for Education have asked your teachers and tutors to do, to ensure that you receive a fair grade this summer.
We'll be updating this page on a regular basis, so do bookmark it to ensure you stay up to date with all the latest information and support.
We will also be sending regular email updates to parents and carers to keep you informed of the latest qualification news and developments for summer 2021.
