For the Egyptian E-Learning University (EELU), success means being world-class, efficient, and smart—delivering high-quality learning at scale while meeting the diverse needs of today’s students.

Through its strategic partnership with Pearson, EELU has strengthened its blended learning model and achieved measurable improvements across student engagement, course delivery, and learning outcomes.

A partnership built for scale and quality

Working with Pearson, EELU implemented a suite of digital learning solutions across thirteen courses in the Faculties of Computer Science and Business Administration, reaching thousands of learners nationwide.

These digital learning solutions¾including MyLab, Mastering, Revel and Pearson eTextbook¾were designed to enhance teaching efficiency, provide actionable learning data, and empower students to take control of their own progress.

Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof. Hisham Hassan, says: “Pearson provides an AI-driven platform that can analyze the performance of students so every student can have his own pathway of learning according to his capabilities.”

Measurable impact

The implementation of Pearson’s digital learning tools has led to measurable improvements across EELU. Faculty report:

“MyLab transformed the module from a lecture centric course into an active learning experience,” Dr. Rana Magdy, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration explained. “Students now arrive having already completed diagnostic quizzes, so class time is spent debating real-world cases rather than recapping basics. Average final marks climbed 13 percent.”

Students benefit from instant feedback, structured practice, and flexible access to learning materials anytime, anywhere.

“Student feedback has been consistently positive,” Dr. Manal Shaaban, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology told us. This is reflected in student survey feedback, where 83% stated that they would recommend Pearson tools.

Faculty advice

After achieving impressive results with the digital solutions, EELU faculty are well placed to share their recommendations for implementation. They advise:

1. Start small but early, getting all students onboarded at the beginning of the course and familiar with the tool through low stakes activities.
2. Motivate students to engage in learning activities. Assigning for credit is the most powerful way.
3. Align digital activities with the learning outcomes from your course.
4. Regularly explain to students how they benefit from using the digital resource.
5. Check analytics to see how students are performing and engaging with the resource, in order to plan teaching interventions.
