Pearson’s Accessibility Roadmap
As part of our ongoing commitment to accessibility, we evaluate our existing products to ensure compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards and to identify and quickly remediate accessibility issues.
1) Register for a MyLab or Mastering course
Students should be able to:
- Navigate the MyLab or Mastering homepage
- Register by redeeming an access code or by purchasing access using a credit card or PayPal
2) Access and complete a homework assignment
Students should be able to:
- Navigate to and open their homework assignment
- Use learning aids
- Complete the assignment
- Submit the assignment
3) Access and consume the accessible eText
Students should be able to:
- Navigate to the accessible eText within MyLab and Mastering
- Navigate within the eText
- Understand the content of the eText
4) Access the student gradebook
Students should be able to:
- Navigate to their gradebook
- Understand their grades
5) Access the MyLab Study Plan or Mastering Study Area
Students should be able to:
- Navigate to and use the Study Plan or Study Area
6) Access the Learning Tools tab or the Multimedia Library tab (both apply to MyLab only and are dependent on the course in use)
Students should be able to:
- Navigate to the Learning Tools tab or the Multimedia Library tab
- Select resources to use from those tabs
7) Access and use videos
Students should be able to:
- Access videos via their assignments, the Learning Tools tab, and the Multimedia tab
- Understand the content of the videos via appropriate closed captioning
8) Access the accessible PowerPoint™ supplements
Students should be able to:
- Navigate to and use the accessible PowerPoint supplements
