Working in sport and leisure with GCSEs (or similar)
Many of the jobs in sports and leisure are customer-focused.
You could be a cashier or usher in a cinema or other entertainment attraction. Jobs in theme parks include ride operator and park attendant. In sport, you could work on reception in a gym or sports centre.

Customer service, welcoming members, sales.

Selling tickets, customer service.
Ride assistant
Assisting with the safe operation of a theme park ride.
Assistant manager of a leisure facility
Looking after the equipment in the centre as well as all members of the public using the facilities.

Typical working conditions
Things you may need to know:
- You could work indoors or out, depending on the industry. Some theme park jobs are all outdoors
- You may wear a uniform or sports kit.
- The work can involve shifts. Most jobs will involve working at weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications needed
Career path
You could become a senior customer adviser or a team leader in a cinema, casino fitness centre or health club. In sports, you could move on to train as a fitness instructor or coach. In a theme park, you could become responsible for a ride or become a park host.
