Hello everyone in this video we're going to be looking at this practice problem where we want to express 10 to the seventh power as a real number. So in order to make this problem simpler, let's try to notice a pattern for when we add powers to 10. So I start off with 10 to the first power. This is equal to 10. Then if I go 10 to the second power this is equal to 10 times or 100. And then if I do 10 to the third power I have 10 times times 10 which is equal to 100 times Which is equal to 1000. So from here you can kind of start to notice a pattern where I have 10 to the first power has 10 squared has two zeros. 10 to the third has three zeros. So I'm going to use that rule to make solving 10 to the seventh easier. So I know that tend to the and power will have n zeros after one. So in this case I have 10 to the seventh which means I'll have the one and then I'll have 770. So or 10 million. So using this sort of pattern that I found I was able to see that 10 to the seventh is equal to 10 million without having to use a calculator or complete the multiplication by hand. And you can see that 10 million is also the same as answer choice D. So hopefully this video helped and see you next time
