Pearson world changer awards

The Pearson World Changer Awards, celebrating the global citizens and young pioneers of tomorrow

"I spent far too long trying to think of an 'idea' to change the world. I've now realised that instead I should've been looking for a problem to solve. There's no shortage of problems that need solving."

- Tessa Clarke CEO and Co-Founder, OLIO

About the Awards

At Pearson, we know learning does not end in the classroom. What is taught in schools, homes and communities can unlock a world of experiences and opportunities, as well as harness the talent, passion and kindness needed for the future.

As part of the World Changer Awards, we wanted to highlight the power of education and demonstrate how subjects across the wider curriculum can help drive positive change in the world. This has certainly been achieved.

Despite the challenges of 2020, we have been moved by the resilience, positivity and dedication to make a difference beyond the classroom that has shone through in the applications we've received from 5-19 year-olds, schools and community groups across the UK.

While every single person who was entered into the awards is a world changer and deserves to be celebrated in their own right, this showcase shines a light on a selection of the inspiring young people and pioneering initiatives that stole our judges’ hearts.

Thank you to everyone who entered and supported the World Changer Awards. Please do join us in sharing and celebrating these remarkable 5-19-year-olds far and wide.

Together we can inspire and empower the next generation of global citizens.
