The Revised Early Years Foundation Stage
The Revised Early Years Foundation Stage became statutory in September 2021. To support the implementation of this, Pearson is working in partnership with Babcock Learning and Development Early Years Team offering a series of virtual training events in November 2021.
These events will aim to ensure schools and settings are building on the initial implementation of the EYFS reforms and bring together key messages from the DfE and Ofsted to enable EYFS practitioners to implement these changes.
There are three courses for you to choose from.
- An Introduction to the Revised EYFS for Teaching Assistants
- The Revised EYFS in Practice (Pre-reception)
- The Revised EYFS in Practice (Reception)

NUCO: First Aid for Youth Mental Health
This is a one-day online course leading to a qualification that will be valid for three years. Subject to successful assessment you'll receive a level 2 award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health.
The qualification has been designed with children and young people in mind covering areas such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying. You will gain the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental condition, start a conversation and provide support and guidance.
The qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children and young people such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults.

This course is designed to help educators to engage a range of anti-bias, multicultural and social justice issues and provide them with strategies and tools to help their learners understand, appreciate, include, and advocate for those around them.

Developing Primary Subject Leadership
This course has been developed by Jon Hutchinson and Ed Vainker at Reach Academy Feltham. The course is a seven-hour self-study unit exploring the seven key questions subject leaders at Primary should be able to answer in order to foster excellence in their subject.
The seven key questions
How do pupils learn?
What is the purpose of curriculum?
How do you define and communicate the intended curriculum?
How can curriculum materials support with implementing agreed aims?
How should teachers enact the curriculum?
How should we assess different curriculum areas?
How can we support staff to develop their curriculum understanding and delivery?

Children's Brain and Emotional Development
This five-hour course will help you to understand children’s emotional and psychological states in the context of exciting new research into the brain, body and nervous system. Developed by a leading Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, the course provides insights into the effects of early experiences which can be directly applied to your work with children and young people.
