BTEC Exams Update
Last updated 13 January 2021, 11.30 hrs
The DfE have confirmed today that scheduled exams for vocational qualifications will no longer take place in February and March this year. Their guidance issued last week still stands – that the January assessments for regulated vocational qualifications can continue, if deemed right to do so by individual centres. Please read our latest statement on this here.
We understand how difficult this uncertainty is for schools, colleges and particularly students and our priority is ensuring fairness for all BTEC leaners. We understand that Ofqual will consult on arrangements for issuing grades this year for vocational qualifications and will launch this towards the end of this week. We are committed to working closely with Ofqual and DfE to ensure that no learners are disadvantaged, and those expecting to complete their qualification this year can progress
All of our previous communications can be found in the Vocational Qualification Bulletin archive.
