Carol Vorderman and Pearson set to make maths an adventure this summer with free six-week course for children.

As part of our shared commitment to ending racial inequality in the classroom, Pearson and education social enterprise The Black Curriculum are working together to help increase Black British history being taught in schools.

Responding to the government's plans for a renewed focus on skills and training opportunities, announced today in the Queen's Speech, Cindy Rampsersaud, Senior Vice President for BTEC and Apprenticeships, at Pearson commented: 

Digital skills among teachers and students in the UK have soared over the course of the pandemic (81% and 64% respectively*), with the majority of teachers** reporting improved tech abilities due to online lockdown learning - according to new research released today by the world’s learning company, Pearson.

An estimated 11 million adults now have the opportunity to gain a new qualification for free, designed to help them to gain in-demand skills and secure great jobs.

A new survey of UK employers conducted by Pearson, reveals that over three-quarters (76%) feel that broader courses that provide a grounding in industry prepare learners better than role-specific training given the changing job market.
