Help students foster a deep understanding of developmental psychology and bring key developmental principles to life with our authentic simulations.
Through the virtual experience of raising a child or making decisions over the course of a person’s lifetime (from birth, through adolescence and adulthood), the MyVirtuals let students make decisions which show them how developmental concepts play out as a result of those decisions.
Realistic scenarios address contemporary issues and include diverse side characters to represent the breadth of people we encounter in the real world. Within each scenario, students choose from a range of responses which prompt them to apply developmental principles.
Just like in the real world, students’ parenting decisions and life choices combine with environmental and genetic factors – determined by quizzes students take at the start of the programme as well as assigned at random – to shape the development of the virtual character. And because it is driven by a unique set of choices made by the student, each MyVirtuals learning experience is customised to be personally relevant and deeply resonant.
