Working in science and research with Level 3 qualifications such as A Levels or BTECs
You may be able to get a job in science and research with A levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications, but options may be limited. Many people in the industry have degrees.
Apprenticeship schemes may help you gain experience and qualifications while you work. Finding an apprenticeship is possible but not easy, and you will need to prove to a company that you are ready to work and are genuinely interested in science.
I went on to complete an NVQ Level 3 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA).
