The Special Educational Needs Assessments Standards Committee (SASC) in 2019 defined Dyscalculia as: “A specific and persistent difficulty in understanding numbers which can lead to a diverse range of difficulties with mathematics. It will be unexpected in relation to age, level of education and experience and occurs across all ages and abilities.”
We asked Pearson colleagues and teachers to discuss their most influential diverse role models. Whether close to home, or looming large in history, the answers they gave were a continued celebration of diversity and shared experiences, revealing the importance and impact of actions, words, and connection.
We are pleased to announce that funding has been approved for the New BTEC Level 3 qualifications that we submitted in July 2023 as part of the Post-16 Level 3 vocational qualification reform. The 12 new qualifications are across Science, ICT and Computing, Construction, Early Years, Health and Social Care and Engineering and will be available for first teach in September 2025.
These events have been arranged to formally launch the newly developed and funded BTEC Level 3 Nationals and Technicals qualifications. They provided you with an opportunity to hear from other centres and for us to give you an overview of the qualification, how transferable, digital and sustainability skills are built in, how they sit alongside A levels and much more. Did you miss out?
We provide a variety podcasts across English, Science and Extended Curriculum. Explore the range we offer and listen to inspiring speakers and experts in the fields, who are helping to stimulate the important conversations within each subject.
