Policy breakfast briefing: Higher education white paper July 2011

View all tags

The 2011 higher education white paper recommended some major changes to the English system. This event looked at the main themes – you can watch the video here.

The paper focused on three pillars; more ‘consumer’ choice/power and provider diversity in a new more dynamic HE ‘market‘. At this breakfast briefing, the Pearson centre for policy and learning team tried to digest all these changes and pick out the highlights, as well as share insights from the Blue Skies project. Guest speaker Pam Tatlow, chief executive of the million+ university think tank, also gave her perspective.
