ICTCM Conference Proceedings

The publication of the Proceedings of the twenty-ninth Annual International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics provides us with an opportunity to express our thanks to everyone who made the conference such a tremendous success — the program committee, the executive committee, the presenters, and all the volunteers from Roosevelt University.

The 2017 conference, held in Chicago, Illinois, from March 9–12, gave us all a chance to share our experiences and to learn from one another in our common pursuit of excellence in education.

The conference was held over two and a half days, filled with innovations and applications. There were over 150 sessions, ranging from developmental mathematics to beyond calculus, computer mini-courses, contributed papers, and poster sessions. The exhibitors proudly displayed a wide range of products that included textbooks, software, and graphing calculators.

The keynote speakers were Dr. Maria Andersen, Westminster College, who instructed and informed us with her presentation, "Learning at Scale: Using Research to Improve Learning Practices and Technology for Teaching Math", and Dr. Eric Mazur, Harvard University, with his presentation on "Assessment For and Not Just of Learning".

Reading through these proceedings should remind you of the many events in which you had the opportunity to participate. We hope that you find additional ideas to incorporate into your instruction and that you will share your knowledge at one of our future ICTCM conferences.
