Hydrates are compounds that contain water in stoichiometric amounts. For example, copper (II) chloride, a brown solid, can absorb water to form copper (II) chloride dihydrate, a blue solid. Copper (II) chloride is sometimes used as a humidity indicator. Provide the balanced equation for the formation of the hydrate with water.
