Welcome back everybody, we are taking a look at this electrical circuit right here we are told that the capacitance of our first capacitor here is micro micro fare adds. Uh, C two has a capacity of six micro fare adds. Number three is also six micro fare adds and number four is 12 micro fare adds. Now we are told that with this battery being connected to this, there is a potential difference of 8V and we are tasked with finding what is the total charge stored on all four capacitors. Well, the total charge for the circuit is just going to be equal to the equivalent capacitance for all four capacitors times our voltage. So we need to calculate what our equivalent capacitance is. The easiest way to do this is to first start out with these two capacitors that are in parallel because once we find the equivalent capacities for those two, then we'll be able to be able to treat those two along with these other two as three capacitors in series. So let's start with this first one, the equivalent capacitance of capacitors two and three since they are in parallel, you just add their individual capacities. So this will be six plus six, which gives us 12 micro fare adds. Great. So now we are ready to find the equivalent capacitance, it will be one over the equivalent capacitance is equal to one over C one plus one over C four plus one over C 23. This is equal to 1, 12 plus 1, 12 plus 1, 12 with a little bit of algebraic manipulation we get that are equivalent. Capacitance is equal to four micro fare adds. Great now that we have found that we are ready to go ahead and find our total charge for the system. Once again, this will be our equivalent capacity times our potential difference. So this is four times 10 to the negative. Six. Fair adds times eight volts, giving us a final answer of 32 micro columns corresponding to answer choice. C. Thank you all so much for watching.
